Day1 - Arrival

Made it to Georgetown. We followed the signs through customs to an area outside where they loaded are bags onto a truck and packed us onto a little bus headed for a college not far out of town. We are staying here in Georgetown for a week before we move on to Bartica for two more. For the week we are staying in dorm rooms at the college it is two to a room and my roommate Dan seems like a good guy, if not a little quiet.

Had a shower. It felt amazing after all the travel and the heat here. The water came out in a single metallic smelling stream like a clogged hose, but it was an awesome shower none the less. When we got here there was no TP, water or toilet seats. A few hours later there is water and someone just told me that they found some TP but it looks like we are still going to be hovering for the duration. I'll let you know how that turns out.

Temperature and humidity are high but not as unbareable as I thought it might be, mind you it is only 11.

12:30 is lunch and a mini orientation for the day we'll see what happens then.
